About Middle School

Welcome to Rolling Hills Middle School!  We have a lot going on and would love for you to be involved.

Wednesday nights from 7:00-8:30PM we have our weekly, larger, group-oriented event.  The night is a mix of games, teaching and relational connection with peers and adults.  We will introduce our weekly topic in an entertaining and engaging way that encourages plenty of discussion.  We encourage students to bring friends on Wednesdays and tailor our night to be open and inviting. If you are looking for a place to make great friends and spend a couple of hours without once thinking about homework then come on by!

Sunday Mornings from 9:00 – 10:00AM is our small group time.  All are welcome and encouraged to attend.  This hour will be focused on Bible study and leadership development in the students.

We will have various group activities throughout the year, both on-campus and off, with the intention of giving our students a place to make relational connections with staff and other students.  This includes our summer and winter camps, along with other small events where students can invite their friends and family to join in on the fun!

About High School

Our High School Ministry at Rolling Hills is called Highlife. We are a group of high school students doing life together. Our Wednesday program is a night full of energy and games, as well as large group teaching and small groups. We have an amazing HS staff who makes Highlife the place to be! If you are looking for a High School Ministry to be involved in, look no further. We’d love to have you join us and grow deeper in your faith with a great group of students and staff. Oh, and we almost always hit up Chick-fil-a afterwards as well. We also have amazing trips lined up throughout the year you won’t want to miss! We head to Hume San Diego for summer camp, Jenness for Winter Camp, Mexicali over Spring Break, and a weekend camping trip in Santa Cruz!

We also meet at 9am on Sunday mornings, where we dive a little deeper into God’s Word. We use this time as more of a discussion group and a time to share what we are learning. We will sometimes head over to Bagel Street or Starbucks to switch things up and enjoy fellowship.

At Highlife, we strive to make it a place where students OWN their ministry. Ministries are better when students own it. We have a great group of student leaders who help lead alongside the adult volunteers. These students make it a point to greet new students and to help others get plugged in! To build into this core, we take them to Doug Fields, Student Leadership Conference in Orange County each summer. I love what God is doing through our Student Leaders.

If you are looking for a great High School Ministry and you think Highlife sounds like a place you want to be, feel free to e-mail me at Brandon@rollhill.org with any questions, or just show up. You won’t be disappointed!!

Youth Pastor

My name is Brandon. Born and raised in the Midwest. Double majored in Youth Ministry & Biblical Theological Studies at Northwestern.

I have been a Youth Pastor just under a decade, and I love seeing students lives transform into the likeness of Christ. I love fitness and formerly competed in the Bay Area. I love strong black coffee (Sideboard is my favorite coffee place). I lived in a castle and studied overseas for a year. All in all, I am just a guy who enjoys life and loves investing into other people.

Ryan McAneney

Middle School Director

Hi, I’m Ryan!  Let me tell you a little bit about who I am and my vision for the middle school ministry!

I have grown up & lived in the Bay Area my whole life and have been attending Rolling Hills for pretty much that same amount of time.

Those times I was outside of the Bay Area I was attending College in Southern California at Biola University or “The Harvard of the West” as I call it. I Majored in Communications with a Minor in Bible.
I love working with youth and seeing students grow in their relationship with God. I love spending time with my wife, Marielle and my two boys, Everett (4) and Will (2).
I am a big sports guy and love the Bay Area Teams, The San Francisco Giants, Niners and The Golden State Warriors.
